A Passion for the Outdoors
Beyond my professional expertise at DHG Quality Consultancy, I’m someone who genuinely loves the outdoors. Whether I’m tackling local hills, spending time in the garden, or heading out on one of my bikes — from motorbikes to mountain and road bikes — I find real balance and enjoyment in being close to nature. That sense of adventure, curiosity, and determination naturally carries through into my work, shaping the same persistence and commitment I bring to every quality consultancy project.
A Love for All Creatures
I’m a genuine animal lover and spend much of my free time around animals whenever I can. Goats, in particular, hold a special place in my heart — they’re definitely the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) in my book. Their inquisitive, cheeky personalities never fail to make me smile, and I love the character and energy they bring. For me, animals add a real sense of joy and vibrancy to life, ensuring there’s never a dull moment.
Quality in Every Detail
The philosophy of “Right First Time” extends far beyond my professional life. I’m currently renovating an 1880s cottage, taking on everything from plastering and electrics to joinery myself. I genuinely enjoy the hands-on process and the satisfaction that comes from bringing something back to life with care and attention to detail. It reflects the same standards I apply in my work — I’m always prepared to invest the time, effort, and precision needed to achieve the best possible result, whether I’m supporting a client or restoring a piece of history.
The Foundation of Family
At the heart of everything I do is my role as a father to Emily and Toby. To me, parenting isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about listening, understanding, and offering the guidance and support they need to grow into confident, responsible adults. Supporting their ambitions and being there for them every step of the way is my greatest priority. It’s a role that has taught me patience, perspective, and consistency — qualities I naturally carry through into the relationships I build with my consultancy clients and partners.
